ALLERHEILIGENSTIFTUNG - GRÜNER VELTLINER

The Kuenringer HADMAR II  founded in the year of 1138 a Cistercian Monastery about 60 km north-west from Krems nearby the today’s town of Zwettl. His son – ALBERO III – donated the monks in 1171 acres and vineyards near Gobelsburg. Grapes from the vineyards around the Heiligenstein (Lamm, Grub, Renner) are used for this wine. Young vineyards (under 20 years) of the former ‘Steiner Allerheilgenstiftung’ are selected for this classical Grüner Veltliner.
